A teenage adolescent has been sentenced to life behind bars with a minimum period of sixteen years for the murder of another student Harvey Willgoose during a midday recess.

The defendant knifed the victim, who was also 15 years old, in the cardiac area with a large blade at Sheffield's All Saints Catholic High School in the second month.

The presiding justice revoked the anonymity restriction on the defendant during sentencing at the courthouse.

"You served as the aggressor and... you proceeded in distress and anger at what you regarded to be his disloyalty of your friendship," stated the court official during sentencing.

All Saints Catholic High School issued a statement stating that the student was "deeply mourned every daytime by the whole learning environment".

Investigators highlighted the devastating outcomes of possessing blades, noting that a "instantaneous choice" can irreversibly transform various lives.
